The 2020 Rosato Scalabrone is richer than you might expect and decidedly savory. Notes of peach and nectarine are offset by wild herbal tones and a spritz of lime. Ripe orchard fruits envelop the palate and brisk acids create a buzz of tension toward the close. This is so easy to like, with spicy citrus and minerals slowly tapering off through the long, mouthwatering finale. The Scalabrone is a blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Very nice.
