Description

2022 Sauvignon Blanc Dry Creek Valley
The Mauritson Dry Creek Valley Sauvignon Blanc embodies our core philosophy: Wine is made in the vineyard! This wine sees minimal oak and doesn’t go through malolactic conversion. It’s truly one of the purest expressions of Sauvignon Blanc you will find in California. Enticing perfumed aromas include fresh white pineapple, spicy white Magnolia blossom and crushed river stone, with a hint of candied mandarin. The entry is bright, energetic and very inviting. On the palate, cleansing kaffir lime zest gives the wine focus, while a kiss of mango flesh and candied peach carries the round and refreshing lift on the finish.

2021 Charlie Clay Pinot Noir Russian River Valley
On the nose, aromas of black cherry flesh, river stone, crushed violent candy and tangerine rind comingle with delicate sweet-soil tones. On the palate, sweet red fruits, black truffle and a strong mineral vein get support from a core of polished tannins and freshness. This precise structure provides an element of tension and purpose. While just starting to show its layers of detail, this wine will drink beautifully over the next 5-8 years.

2021 Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley
The Zinfandels of the 2021 vintage are simply transcendent. Seductive and precise with incredible depth and sophistication. Perfumed ripe summer blackberry, pomegranate seed, sweet spice, and crushed violet candy mingle beautifully with sweet pie crust, almond paste, and vanilla pod aromas. On the palate this Zinfandel is energetic and multi-faceted. Details of fresh dark fruits and toasted coffee bean give way to a core of inviting plush tannins and a long fresh finish. Despite its early accessibility, this incredible Zinfandel will be generous for at least 7+ years.odied palate offers generous, perfumed fruit. It has supple tannins and just enough juicy acidity to call you in for another sip.

2021 Zinfandel Rockpile Ridge Vineyard
The 2021 vintage carries all of the signature aromas expected from Zinfandel grown in Rockpile: candied Santa Rosa plum; crushed violet candy; milk chocolate shavings; espresso grounds; spice and graphite. This incredible iteration of Rockpile Ridge Zinfandel is singularly defined by its detailed texture. The entry is silky, and the texture is fine-grained and velvety with lingering flavors of ripe red fruits and sweet earth. This energetic Zin will benefit from at least 1-2 years of bottle age. Enjoy over the next 10- 12 years.

2021 Mauritson “Rockpile” Cabernet Sauvignon Rockpile Ridge Vineyard
The Rockpile Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon is made up of mostly Cab, blended with Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The fruit comes from the Gloeckner-Turner vineyard, in Sonoma’s Rockpile AVA, which was planted back in 2000. The vineyard sits at 1,350 feet in elevation with extremely well-drained soils and heaps of sun exposure, helping to produce very small, very concentrated berries. The wines are fermented and aged individually for about 14 months before the blend takes place, then the finished product is aged for 20 months in 100% new French oak. Aromatically the wine is perfumed with ripe blackberries, roasted coffee beans, anise and a hint of freshly grated nutmeg. On the palate the wine has flavors of blackberries, black cherries, and plums over a bold tannic structure.
