Luca 2020 Malbec Paraje Altamira
$27.99 – $132.00Mendoza Argentina
A rich purple in the glass, the nose offers ripe plum, gentle violet notes and aromas from the aging process along with hints of herb. In the mouth, it’s juicy and expansive with polished, rounded, sweet tannins that enhance the volume of the palate without losing their slight grip. Relaxed and flavorful with good balance and well-judged barrel-aging, the palate also has a touch of chalk.

Luce della Vite 2016 Toscana IGT
$99.99Tuscany Italy
James Suckling 96 Rating
A ripe but suggestive nose of dark cherries, dark chocolate, hot stones, cassis, brambleberry pie and bark. Yet, on the palate, this paints an altogether different picture, in which sleek tannins carry fresh layers of forest fruit long, through a compact, full-bodied palate. Powerful acidity steers it through to a restrained but chewy finish. Drink from 2024. SP44-1 -

Lucie Dutron 2021 Macon Villages
$29.99 – $156.00Maconnais Burgundy France
Enjoyabiltyfactor 92 Rating
The Lucie Dutron Macon Villages is 100% Chardonnay from sustainably farmed vines located in Viré, Péronne, and Verzé. The vines are 20-45 years old and grow in limestone and clay soil. We were surprised by the wine’s richness and intensity. Pale gold with green flecks, the nose is joyfully expressive, white peach and citrus notes and white flowers jump from the glass. The palate is lush and has weight. Smooth, round, supple and complex with a surprisingly long finish. Flavors are fresh and lively mirroring the aromatics.

LUIANO 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva
$29.99 – $155.94Tuscany Italy
Wine Spectator 95 Rating
A fresh, detailed style, exhibiting cherry, black currant, licorice, leather and iron aromas and flavors. This firms up as the latent structure emerges on the finish, yet the lasting impression is of equilibrium and sweet, ripe fruit. Best from 2020 through 2038. 2,500 cases made. Luigi Baudana 2023 Dragon Langhe Bianco
$21.99 – $204.00Piedmont Italy
Dragon was born out of two dreams: to respect and carry on the legacy of Luigi Baudana’s vineyards and to offer a white wine that could be both easy and fun, and yet with a true complexity underneath. This Chardonnay vineyard (with a touch of Sauvignon) is located mid-slope on the north-east shoulder of the famed Cerretta Piani terroir of Barolo. A quirk of nature makes this plot cooler and suitable for white wine grapes. The vines, now mature, are producing exciting results with wines showing aromatics of washed stone, wildflowers and green summer grass. Aged on its lees in stainless steel vats, it retains crisp acidity while showing unctuous, almost buttery texture. Long and fine, this is a very unique wine.

Luigi Einaudi 2013 “Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi” Barolo
$69.99Piedmont Italy
Decanter Magazine 95 Rating
Though Terlo is predominantly east facing, Einaudi's Costa Grimaldi vineyard curves southward, creating a southeastern exposure. The wine is aged in a combination of medium-toast French barriques, 10% new, and five hectolitre French and Austrian casks. Smoky and grilled at first, it then opens up to reveal enticing black pepper, graphite and fragrant black tea nuances. It is concentrated and layered without being heavy, and the fruit is supported by firm, confident tannins. SP45-1 -
Lunaria 2018 Coste di Moro Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
$18.99 – $192.00Abruzzi Italy
‘Coste di Moro’ serves as the flagship wine for Lunaria, just as Montepulciano serves the flagship red varietal in Abruzzo. There is no other wine that is shared in the region like Montepulciano, with complexity, versatility, and punch, it’s shared at dinner and between best friends at the end of the night.
