Lunaria 2022 Ramoro Pinot Grigio
$18.99 – $96.00Terre di Cheti IGP Abruzzo Italy
Bright copper. Aromas of freshly peeled tangerine, cantaloupe and yellow stone fruit. The palate is bright yet textured, with an intriguing, savory profile. Flavors follow of orange marmalade, mango, dried papaya, candied orange peel with a hint of minerally earth. Multilayered and fleshy through the remarkably refreshing finish.

This is a ripe, honeyed style of Sherry with deep brown sugar and cinnamon aromas. Its solid palate is under control and not syrupy, tapering into brown sugar and fig flavors. Chocolate and fig notes linger on the long finish.

Lustau “San Emilio Solera Reserva” Pedro Ximénez
$34.99 – $336.00Jerez Spain
Wine Enthusiast 93 Rating
With piercing aromas of raisin pudding, molasses and spice, this rolls out the welcome mat and more. Luscious is probably as tame as you can put it; this is a ribald sweet wine with acidic backbone and hugely intense flavors of baked brown sugar, cinnamon cake and molasses. Powerful but still racy due to bracing acidity. About as good as it gets with P.X.

Aged for equal periods under “flor” and in contact with the oxygen, in Bodega Emperatriz Eugenia in Jerez de la Frontera. This dry Amontillado acquires a genuine, rich and nutty flavor through years of aging. Amber in color, with hazelnut aromas on the nose. Light, soft and round on the palate, with a long aftertaste.

M by Mac and Billy 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles
$24.99 – $132.00California
Wine Advocate 91 Rating
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is a touch shy to begin before revealing red cherry, tobacco, aniseed and earth with wafts of floral perfume and mint chocolate. The full-bodied palate has a deep core of perfumed fruit framed by supple tannins and bright acidity, and it has a long, refreshing finish.

One of the more polished, sexy examples of the cuvee, the 2015 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Occultum Lapidem checks in as a blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache and the balance Carignan and Mourvèdre, aged all in concrete tanks. It boasts killer notes of black raspberries, cassis, pepper and licorice, with just a hint of chocolate appearing with time in the glass. This medium to full-bodied, layered and beautifully textured red is an incredible value and will be impossible to resist over the coming 4-5 years, and I’m sure it will keep even longer. M. Chapoutier 2015 Ermitage le Pavillon
$399.99Northern Rhone Valley France
Jeb Dunnuck 100 Rating
Surely a 100-point wine in nearly any other context, the 2015 Ermitage le Pavillon is a terrific wine. Full-bodied and intense, it offers tremendous notes of crushed stone, mocha and ripe plum given shape and texture by powerful yet ripe tannins. The finish is nearly endless, oozing with essence of granite and balanced by bright acids. Wow. R43-1 -

Made from 100% Viognier, the 2016 IGP Collines Rhodaniennes La Combe Pilate is a ripe, unctuous beauty that boasts a huge nose of ripe peach, orange blossom, and honeysuckle. Rich, medium to full-bodied and textured, it's a mini (maybe not so mini) Condrieu. SWS R25-1Buy this by the 6pk for $19.99 per bottle
