Coming from two estate vineyards consisting of pure volcanic soils, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain District sports deep purple/ruby color to go with a brilliant, full-bodied, seamless wine that’s going to flirt with perfection at maturity. Blackcurrants, chocolate, loamy earth, tobacco, and violet notes define the bouquet, and this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a voluptuous, layered mouthfeel, ample tannins, and a great finish. This is another magical, mountain Cabernet Sauvignon from this estate that needs a good 4-5 years of bottle age, if not more, and will cruise for decades in cold cellars. R19-2 SP22-1 -

This wine is deep garnet in color with aromas of wild strawberry, cherry, red currants and forest floor, accented by notes of dried tea, rose petals, cedar and vanilla bean. On the palate, the wine’s bright acidity and supple texture are accompanied by delicate tannins and a long, lingering finish.

Long Shadows 2013 Pirouette
$59.99Columbia Valley Washington
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
While a step back from the blockbuster 2012, Philippe Melka’s 2013 Pirouette is no slouch and offers serious amounts of ripe black cherry fruits, graphite, hints of chocolate and plenty of sweet oak in a beautifully concentrated, ripe, textured package. Made from 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc (mostly from Red Mountain) that spent 22 months in 75% new French oak, give bottle 3-5 years in the cellar and enjoy over the following decade or more. Long Shadows 2017 Chester Kidder Red Blend
$49.99Columbia Valley
Wine Enthusiast 93 Rating
Aromas of black fruit, anise, vanilla, cocoa and other barrel spices are followed by pitch-black, rich, hedonistic fruit flavors that bring the acidity and tannin structure of the vintage. It's intense, but with plenty of sophistication. A lengthy finish, caps it off. Best after 2025. R20-4 -
Long Shadows 2018 Feather Cabernet Sauvignon
$64.99Columbia Valley Washington
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
The classic 2018 Feather (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) comes from the Weinbau and Wallula Vineyards and spent 22 months in 90% new French oak. It has a wonderfully pure nose of crème de cassis, new saddle leather, dried flowers, and tobacco that carries to a medium to full-bodied, seamless Cabernet with a wonderful sense of purity, balance, and elegance, all while bringing plenty of fruit and structure. I actually like it today, yet it has enough tannins to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and should be long lived. R40-7 SP29-6 -
Long Shadows 2019 Pirouette Red
$57.99 – $270.00Columbia Valley
Jeb Dunnuck 94+ Rating
The 2019 Pirouette is a mix of 56% Cab, 33% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Malbec and Petit Verdot. Currants, spicy oak, burning embers, and smoked tobacco are just some of its nuances, and it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, building, chalky tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It needs 3-4 years in the cellar, but it’s terrific. regular $69.99

Long Shadows Pedestal 2019 Merlot
$59.99 – $324.00Washington State
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
The 2019 Merlot Pedestal (75% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Malbec) is terrific, with a plump, round, medium to full-bodied style offering decadent Merlot red and black cherry fruit as well as notes of tobacco leaf, damp earth, and spicey aromas and flavors. It shows the cooler style of the vintage with its elegant, streamlined texture, is perfectly balanced, and will certainly keep for 10-15 years.
