A textbook Chateauneuf-du-Pape with notes of cherries, baked strawberries, dried Mediterranean herbs and sweet spices. Medium-to full-bodied, yet balanced with juicy fruit and a flavorful finish. Slightly warming in the finish.

Bernardus 2021 Griva Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
$17.99 – $192.00Arroyo Seco Monterey Central Coast California
Wine Enthusiast 91 Rating
Briny limes, green apple peels and dark grass cuttings show on the nose of this bottling, which is reminiscent of a Kiwi style. The palate is grassy in style as well, with lime and grapefruit peel flavors also showing.

Bertani 2011 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG
$139.99 – $720.00Veneto Italy
James Suckling 97 Rating
Density and dryness that really comes together here, after almost 10 years in bottle. It’s very deep and vertical on the palate. Very pure and beautiful crushed cherries, dried flowers, carbon and pumice. Wonderful all round. Drink or hold.

Bertani 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG
$129.99 – $720.00Veneto Italy
James Suckling 98 Rating
Wow. Such a complex nose, with a base of dried cherry, spruced up with hints of mild coffee and walnuts. Then there are dried flowers, wild herbs and spices, such as tarragon and cloves. Subtle hints of dried banana and apricot, too. The palate is full, super sleek, intense and well-balanced, with tight, spice-coated tannins that drive everything forward. Long, long finish. Lovely to taste now, but this already almost ten-year-old will sit comfortably in your cellar for a long while yet.

Bethel Heights Vineyards 2021 Pinot Noir Justice Vineyard
$79.99 – $450.00Eola-Amity Hills Willamette Valley Oregon
Wine Advocate 98+ Rating
The 2021 Pinot Noir Justice Vineyard comes from a single block of 667 clone vines and is one of the most impressive Pinot expressions I've encountered from the 2021 vintage in the Willamette Valley so far. Medium ruby-purple, it has intense, singular and pure aromatics: cranberry, rhubarb and blueberry are accented by fine touches of conifer, aniseed, iron and pipe tobacco, and it continues to shift and change as it spends time in the glass. The medium-bodied palate is powerful, offering highly concentrated, detailed fruit and a support of abundant, powdery tannins. It has seamless, energetic acidity and haunting streaks of spice and earth that fan across the tremendously long finish. It's difficult to put this wine down, although it will reward drinkers patient enough to tuck it away in the cellar. R14-4 BX-6

Betz Family Winery 2019 The Untold Story Columbia Valley
$29.99 – $150.00Washington State
The Untold Story is deeply colored, with a dark purple core fading out to a bright magenta rim. The color is reflective of the aromatics: smoky black fruits, blueberries, blackberries, dark plums and cassis swirl about, adding incense and graphite alongside crushed herbs as it gets air. The palate is layered with a plush texture that perfectly balances fresh acidity and fine tannins leading to a lengthy finish that carries a delightful mix of bright rosemary, fresh berries and cracked spice. regular $39.99

Billecart-Salmon 2007 Brut Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart
$129.99Champagne France
Antonio Galloni 97 Rating

The 2007 Brut Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart is positively stellar. Elegant, polished and sophisticated, the 2007 dazzles with effusive aromatics and gorgeous balance. It's not an obvious wine, though, but rather a Champagne built for long, patient cellaring. The 2007 is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay taken from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Ambonnay, Verzenay and Verzy for the Pinots and Chouilly, Avize, Cramant and Mesnil for the Chardonnays. In other words, as good as it gets for villages. The wine was done mostly in tank with about 15% of the lots vinified in oak. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. -
Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé Champagne
$89.99 – $450.00France
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
The NV Champagne Brut Rose is an attractive pale salmon hue, with a fresh perfume of wild strawberry, ripe peach, white and red flowers, a hint of tropical fruit, and grapefruit. The palate is rounded, with fruit up front and through the mid-palate, and it has a silky and fresh lift. There is a wonderful ease and drinkability to this wine, which delivers balance and finesse. Drink 2022-2037.
