Bodegas Breca 2015 Brega
$29.99 – $179.94Aragon Calatayud Spain
Jeb Dunnuck 93+ Rating
The top wine, made in tiny quantities, the 2015 Brega comes from the oldest vineyards of the estate (both planted prior to 1911) and is 100% Garnacha brought up all in a mix of new, once- and twice-used barrels. This ripe, incredibly sexy red boasts a deep purple/plum color to go with gorgeous notes of black cherries, chocolate, graphite, and a mineral/scrub brush-like character that develops with time in the glass. Concentrated, fresh, nicely structured, and long, it will benefit from a year or two of bottle age and drink nicely for a decade or more.

Bodegas Breca 2019 Garnacha Old Vines
$17.99 – $180.00Calatayud Spain
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
I loved the nose on the 2019 Breca, which is loaded with spicy red and black fruits as well as notes of sandalwood, dried flowers, herbes de Provence, and some chalky, mineral-like nuances. Beautiful on the palate as well, this medium to full-bodied, elegant, balanced, straight-up gorgeous Garnacha is best drunk over the coming 3-5 years.

James Suckling 93 Rating
Perfumed yet focused nose with lots of violets and deep but fresh blueberries. Very pure. A mineral undertone makes it quite attractive. It’s dense, medium-to full-bodied and juicy on the palate, packed with silky tannins that are taut and calculated. Youthful and very primary now. Free of oak. Drink from 2023.

The 2021 Clio is a blend of 70% Monastrell and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the 1936-planted Zingla Vineyard in Jumilla. Aged for 23 months in French and American oak, this garnet-hued wine offers complex aromas of herbs and plums, complemented notes of mint, balsamic and ash. Concentrated and rich on the palate, it flows with a silky texture, culminating in a velvety finish. This is a ripe, sun-kissed red with a precisely executed barrel-aging regimen. SP40-11 -

This full-bodied, layered Cabernet opens with mossy, damp aromas that suggest a forest after a rain. The palate is direct and solid, with good depth. Flavors of cola, baked plum, raisin and chocolate finish strong and with previously announced notes of cocoa, mocha and prune. Drink through 2019.

Bodegas Sur de los Andes 2017 Cabernet Franc Reserva
$14.99 – $150.00Mendoza Argentina
Wine Enthusiast 92 Rating
Jammy black plum and blackberry aromas include hints of oak, varietal spice and herbal notes. A healthy palate is flush and supported by easygoing tannins. Mixed black fruit flavors come with a touch of Cabernet Franc's noted herbal character, while this feels steady and smooth on the finish. Drink through 2023. .
