  • Louis Jadot 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Ursules

    $99.99

Cote de Beaune Cote d'Or Burgundy France
    Wine Spectator 95 Rating
A picture of elegance and finesse, with cherry, strawberry, floral and stony mineral aromas and flavors, this red is charming and seamless enough to enjoy now, yet will improve with age. Fine-grained tannins and bright acidity provide structure, while the finish lingers. Best from 2024 through 2042. SP4-6

  • Luce della Vite 2016 Toscana IGT

    $99.99

    Tuscany Italy
    James Suckling 96 Rating
A ripe but suggestive nose of dark cherries, dark chocolate, hot stones, cassis, brambleberry pie and bark. Yet, on the palate, this paints an altogether different picture, in which sleek tannins carry fresh layers of forest fruit long, through a compact, full-bodied palate. Powerful acidity steers it through to a restrained but chewy finish. Drink from 2024. SP44-1

  • Luigi Einaudi 2013 “Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi” Barolo

    $69.99

    Piedmont Italy
    Decanter Magazine 95 Rating
Though Terlo is predominantly east facing, Einaudi's Costa Grimaldi vineyard curves southward, creating a southeastern exposure. The wine is aged in a combination of medium-toast French barriques, 10% new, and five hectolitre French and Austrian casks. Smoky and grilled at first, it then opens up to reveal enticing black pepper, graphite and fragrant black tea nuances. It is concentrated and layered without being heavy, and the fruit is supported by firm, confident tannins. SP45-1

  • M. Chapoutier 2015 Ermitage le Pavillon

    $399.99

    Northern Rhone Valley France
    Jeb Dunnuck 100 Rating
Surely a 100-point wine in nearly any other context, the 2015 Ermitage le Pavillon is a terrific wine. Full-bodied and intense, it offers tremendous notes of crushed stone, mocha and ripe plum given shape and texture by powerful yet ripe tannins. The finish is nearly endless, oozing with essence of granite and balanced by bright acids. Wow. R43-1

  • M.A. Monticelli 2016 Barolo Bussia Riserva

    $69.99

    Piedmont Italy
    Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
A step up, the 2016 Barolo Bussia Riserva has a fabulous nose of ripe cherries, dried rose petals, spice, white truffle, and loamy earth. It's balanced, medium-bodied, has fine tannins, flawless balance, and just a nuanced, seamless profile. SP49-11

  • Marciano 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate

    $239.99

    Napa Valley California
    Jeb Dunnuck 98+ Rating
Bottled in September of this year, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate checks in as 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Cabernet Franc brought up in French oak. Its inky purple color is followed by classic notes of blackcurrants, lead pencil shavings, spring flowers, and hints of crushed rock. Deep, seamless, ultra-pure, and incredibly classic on the palate, it's another brilliant, classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from winemaker Morgan Maureze. It’s slightly more reserved than the 2015 (which is to be expected as the vintages are dramatically different) and is going to benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age. R26-2

  • Marciano 2017 Estate M Proprietary Red

    $139.99

    Napa Valley California
    Wine Advocate 95 Rating
This was tasted as a barrel sample. A blend of Bordeaux varieties, the 2017 M by Marciano has a deep garnet-purple color and comes strutting out of the glass with the most gorgeous perfume of lilacs, red roses and baking spices, over a core of warm cassis, blackberry pie and preserved blueberries with wafts of pencil shavings and black loam. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is elegantly crafted with a quiet intensity and compelling tension, textured with beautifully fine-grained tannins, finishing long and fragrant. SP11-1
