Schrader 2019 CCS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
$399.99Oakville Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard CCS from the To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville is another heavenly wine in the lineup. I always find another level of purity in this cuvée, and the 2019 offers remarkably pure crème de cassis-like fruits as well as notes of white flowers, incense, toasted spice, and unsmoked tobacco. Full-bodied, deep, round, and plush on the palate, I love its tannins, it brings incredible richness while staying perfectly balanced and fresh, and it’s just already a joy to drink. R7-5 -

Schrader 2019 LPV Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
$399.99Oakville Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
Almost pure perfection in a glass, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard comes from a more rocky vineyard located on the west side of St. Helena. Black fruits, savory herbs, flowers, and crushed rock notes give way to a full-bodied, flawlessly balanced, seamless 2019. It has the ripe yet elegant style of the vintage (as well as the vineyard), ultra-fine tannins, no hard edges, and a gorgeous finish. R21-2 -

Schrader 2019 RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
$399.99Oakville Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
Lots of violets, flowery incense, cassis, and spice notes emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard RBS, a full-bodied, silky, elegant 2019 that shines just as much for its purity and balance as its richness and depth. Possessing good acidity, a lively, vibrant mouthfeel, supple tannins, and a great finish, it has plenty of up-front appeal yet should easily evolve for a solid 20 years if properly stored. Best After 2021. SP25-4 -

Scribe 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon
$89.99West Side Atlas Peak Napa Valley California
Enjoyabilityfactor 97 Rating
Vividly “Graves-like” in both its flavor profile and elegant style, this is the best Scribe Cabernet yet produced. The nose is a focused perfume of ripe black cherry, Italian Maraschino cherry, black currant, blueberry, grilled black fig, cedar, leather, graphite, charcoal, mocha, peppercorn and dark pipe tobacco scents. The wine is amazingly seductive already, as the texture is racy yet tongue-coating, and the flavors of diamond clarity. A core of syrup drenched Amarena cherries holds center-stage on the palate, with all the other promised elements seeming to follow in lock-step. The finish is ultra-long and the expected gripping tannins are polished into softness and then smothered by a wave of flavor. This beauty will be glorious if allowed the five to ten years its concentration suggests, yet it is so delicious now that few bottles are likely to remain when it achieves full maturity. Only 650 cases produced. SP25-1 -

Sea Smoke 2020 Chardonnay Santa Rita Hills
$79.99Santa Barbara County
An elegant Chardonnay with aromas of Meyer lemon zest, fresh cut melon and honeycomb. The nose is complemented by mandarin and a slight nuttiness in the focused mid-palate and the refreshing cool climate acidity of our estate vineyard. R37-3 -

Sea Smoke 2022 Pinot Noir Ten
$119.99Santa Rita Hills California
The 2022 ‘Ten’ Pinot Noir is a stunning effort that is already beautifully evolved from this slightly warmer vintage. Winemaker Don Schroeder. makes this wine from its 10 “clones” of Pinot Noir. The palate is deep, fresh and fragrant with serious weight, texture and tension. Red rose petal water combines with bright cranberry and red cherry fruits alongside salty soils on the palate. Full-bodied and absolutely delicious, enjoy now and over the next ten plus years -

Sea Smoke 2023 Pinot Noir Southing
$99.99Santa Rita Hills California
Each year, Sea Smoke’s goal for Southing is to create the ideal marriage of complexity and elegance. The ever-changing nose of the Southing exhibits fresh currant, slight strawberry and rose aromas with notes of dried fruit, fennel, clove and nutmeg. The fine tannins and minerality are enhanced by the estate vineyard’s characteristic cool climate acidity. R35-3 -

Seven Hills 2012 Merlot Seven Hills Vineyard
$39.99Walla Walla Valley Washington State
Wine Advocate 90 Rating
A wine this estate’s been making for the past 25 years, the 2012 Seven Hills Vineyard Merlot is a big, rich, chewy wine that offers ample cherry, currant, licorice and spice to go with a full-bodied, ripe and nicely tannic feel on the palate. Made from 100% Merlot that spent 20 months in 40% new French oak, it’s outstanding, and will have 10-15 years of longevity. SP17-2 -

Shafer 2014 Hillside Select Cabernet Sauvignon
$289.99Napa Valley
Wine Advocate 98 Rating
Very deep inky-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is incredibly intense and impactful on the nose, revealing notes of crushed black cherries, blackberries and fresh black currants with underlying notions of charcoal, sautéed herbs, black soil, chargrilled meat and pencil lead, plus a waft of violets. Very full-bodied, very rich and wonderfully concentrated, the wall of fruit is well matched by a firm structure of ripe, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with great length and depth.
