Characterized by strong citrus fruit notes, such as pink grapefruit and floral notes which blend with the first ones, exalting each other, leaving an extremely pleasing retro-olfactory sensation. In the mouth stand out the fruity notes of peach and grapefruit, there are also hints of tropical fruit such as passion fruit and mango. With time will develop sensations of Mediterranean herbs: thyme, sage and rosemary. Rich wine with an extremely passionate character, sapid and mineral in the mouth.

The wine was then pressed and has been aged on the lees for 12 months in French oak. It has a lovely nose filled with spices and lavender. This is a Big Boy! Plush, concentrated and richly textured.

Bottled in September of this year, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate checks in as 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Cabernet Franc brought up in French oak. Its inky purple color is followed by classic notes of blackcurrants, lead pencil shavings, spring flowers, and hints of crushed rock. Deep, seamless, ultra-pure, and incredibly classic on the palate, it's another brilliant, classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from winemaker Morgan Maureze. It’s slightly more reserved than the 2015 (which is to be expected as the vintages are dramatically different) and is going to benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age. R26-2 -

Medium to full-bodied, the palate is elegantly crafted with a quiet intensity and compelling tension, textured with beautifully fine-grained tannins, finishing long and fragrant. SP11-1 -

Overall, the wine is nicely balanced and fresh with a great length.
