Bernard Magrez 2018 Bordeaux Rouge
$16.99 – $168.00Bordeaux France
Bernard Magrez is the proud owner of four of the most iconic estates in Bordeaux. His 2018 Red is made of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and a hint of malbec overachieves on the nose and the palate. This is left bank wine at its best with soft pronounced tannins and merlot that pops right off the nose but translates nicely into the intense aromas of Dark and red fruit as well as hints of chocolate, nuts and forest scents. It is very generous on the palate opening up very gently and lingers for a long lasting beautiful finish, drink now or save for a few years this wine will not disappoint.

Briny limes, green apple peels and dark grass cuttings show on the nose of this bottling, which is reminiscent of a Kiwi style. The palate is grassy in style as well, with lime and grapefruit peel flavors also showing.

Density and dryness that really comes together here, after almost 10 years in bottle. It’s very deep and vertical on the palate. Very pure and beautiful crushed cherries, dried flowers, carbon and pumice. Wonderful all round. Drink or hold.

Bertani 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG

Wow. Such a complex nose, with a base of dried cherry, spruced up with hints of mild coffee and walnuts. Then there are dried flowers, wild herbs and spices, such as tarragon and cloves. Subtle hints of dried banana and apricot, too. The palate is full, super sleek, intense and well-balanced, with tight, spice-coated tannins that drive everything forward. Long, long finish. Lovely to taste now, but this already almost ten-year-old will sit comfortably in your cellar for a long while yet.

A bright yellow color. A shimmering wine with an abundance of tiny bubbles. Fruity nose dominated by the presence of the Chardonnay grape. Full of finesse and elegance. Mirabelle plum notes and bush peach. The initial impact is fresh and structured. Perfect balance. The strength of the Pinot grape comes through on the palate, with red fruits and honey. The finish is long and powerful. WBC

Bethel Heights Vineyards 2021 Pinot Noir Justice Vineyard
$79.99 – $450.00Eola-Amity Hills Willamette Valley Oregon
Wine Advocate 98+ Rating
The 2021 Pinot Noir Justice Vineyard comes from a single block of 667 clone vines and is one of the most impressive Pinot expressions I've encountered from the 2021 vintage in the Willamette Valley so far. Medium ruby-purple, it has intense, singular and pure aromatics: cranberry, rhubarb and blueberry are accented by fine touches of conifer, aniseed, iron and pipe tobacco, and it continues to shift and change as it spends time in the glass. The medium-bodied palate is powerful, offering highly concentrated, detailed fruit and a support of abundant, powdery tannins. It has seamless, energetic acidity and haunting streaks of spice and earth that fan across the tremendously long finish. It's difficult to put this wine down, although it will reward drinkers patient enough to tuck it away in the cellar. R14-4 BX-6
