  • St. Cosme 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape

    $59.99$318.00

    Southern Rhone Valley
    Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
The 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape comes from La Crau and a few other terroirs and is 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvèdre. Blackberries, black raspberries, peppery herbs, and some solid earthy minerality give way to a medium to full-bodied, ripe, yet also structured 2019. Some 2019s can have a touch of austerity in their tannins, but this is supple and seamless. It will evolve for 10-15 years.

A hefty version of Côtes du Rhône, with a lot of stuffing, showing ripe black plum and black currant flavors layered with black pepper and grilled rosemary. Sturdy tannins hem in the creamy palate, with a kick of bitter mineral and graphite through the medium-length finish. Very solid.

There’s a pure core of fresh blackberry, crunchy plum and violet in this vibrant version, with the subtlest brushing of vanilla. Layers of graphite and fine-grained tannins provide a solid framework. Compact, with savory details emerging toward the solid, medium-bodied finish, which is grounded in salty mineral notes and a waft of alder smoke. Drink now through 2028.

    Antonio Galloni 94 Rating
Limpid ruby-red. Mineral-tinged black raspberry, cherry cola, pungent flowers and exotic spices on the highly perfumed nose. Palate-caressing red and dark berry, spicecake and candied rose flavors show superb clarity, underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. Concentrated but distinctly lithe in character, with a strikingly long, focused finish that features sneaky tannins and reverberating floral and spice notes.

  • St. Michael-Eppan 2020 Pinot Noir

    $19.99$204.00

    Trentino-Alto Adige Italy
Pinot Noir (Pinot Nero or Blauburgunder) is one of the most cherished and most demanding of all red wines. Pinot noir cannot grow everywhere, however, and is very demanding in terms of vineyard and vinification alike. Due to its delicate aroma and distinctive nature, it enjoys a great deal of importance. This Pinot noir develops to its full potential at the cool yet sunny vineyard sites of Eppan and Kaltern, yielding a structured wine with elegant fullness that is strikingly similar to the Burgundian paragons. Ideal pairings include lamb, goat kid, calf's liver, braised meat and mature cheeses.
