Staglin Family Vineyard Estate 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon
$279.99Rutherford Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
I continue to simply love the 2016s, which come close to rivaling the 2013s, albeit with a more elegant character. Another pure class release from this great estate, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blend that includes small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, all aged 20 months in mostly new French oak. Its deep purple/plum color is followed by classic Rutherford notes of blackcurrants, cedar pencil, chocolaty herbs, licorice, and hints of truffle. It's beautifully balanced, full-bodied, and seamless on the palate, and while it's less overt and sexy than the 2015, it shows the class, balance, purity, and length that makes 2016 such a special vintage. It offers pleasure today and will offer pleasure in another 20-25 years. SP23-2 -
Stags’ Leap Winery 2019 Limited Edition Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
$129.99 – $720.00California
James Suckling 95 Rating
Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a showstopper. An intriguing bouquet opens with pronounced aromas of ripe blackberry and red cherry, underpinned by perfumed floral and savory herbal notes of dried rose petal, potpourri, sage, and mint. The wine is full-bodied with beautiful texture and depth on the palate, with multi-layered finesse and crowd-pleasing drinkability. On the palate, juicy cassis, blackberry, and red cherry are supported by notes of crushed red rose, tea leaf, and chocolate, giving this Cabernet a beguiling plushness and warmth. Finishing smooth and dry, with soft tannins and a lingering perfume of cassis, violet and dark chocolate. This dazzling Cabernet can easily pair alongside a variety of cuisines and culinary dishes.

Wine Spectator 93 Rating
Packed with açaí berry, boysenberry and plum compote notes, this lets the fruit spill forth while also keeping it well-formed, thanks to underlying acidity and a solid iron note. Vivid through the finish. Best from 2023 through 2034.

The nose is rich with cherry and warm spices, and the garnet hue is deep and inviting. The palate reveals a bit more bramble and deep cherry notes as it moves into a voluminous, persistent finish. The tannins are firm but yielding.

Wine Enthusiast 91 Rating
Melon and peach-flavored Jolly Rancher aromas act as calling cards for this rosé, with carnation flower and lemon peel notes adding a bit of spice and twang. Lemon basil and pink grapefruit flavors are joined by a peach melba note acting as dessert. A plush mouthfeel, with a saline note on the finish

Stolpman Vineyards 2017 Estate Grown Hilltops Syrah
$49.99Ballard Canyon Santa Barbara County
Antonio Galloni 93 Rating
The 2017 Syrah Estate Grown is absolutely gorgeous. Fresh, floral and wonderfully perfumed, the Estate expresses all the best vintage had to offer. Sweet floral, spice and dried herbs are beautifully laced into a core of dark Syrah. Not only is the Estate a terrific example of the year, it also captures the interplay of rich fruit and more savory notes that is so typical of the best Ballard Canyon Syrahs. The 2017 is simply compelling. That's all there is to it. SP20-5 -
