Villadoria 2019 Bricco Magno Langhe Nebbiolo
$19.99 – $192.00Piedmont Italy
Beverage Tasting Institute 91 Rating
Ruby garnet color. Aromas and flavors of dried cherry, rose, pipe tobacco, and orange zest with a round, racy, dry medium body and a warming, stimulating, medium-long finish with notes of dried red cherry, blood orange, dried herbs, and cocoa nibs and potpourri with coating, grippy tannins. Medium body with robust tannins, this wine is a textbook example of entry level Nebbiolo; truly well balanced.

Sleek and lightly chalky in texture, this vinous version shows a well-spiced range of wild strawberry, macerated cherry and orange liqueur flavors, with accents of graphite, violet and fennel seed. Vincent Gaudry 2022 Sancerre Le Tournebride
$49.99 – $480.00Loire Valley France
Vinous 92 Rating
The 2022 La Tournebride is like sinking into a warm bath. It may be round and ripe, reflecting the season, but it’s also elegant, refined and balanced. A blend of the three terroirs in Sancerre, offers a bit of everything. The 2022 is not showy but attractive and pretty. It’s drinking beautiful now with its ripe, red apple-fruited finish, and I challenge you not to like it.

Vincent Girardin 2017 Meursault

Jeb Dunnuck 91 Rating
Coming from 60-year-old vines and brought up in 15% new oak, the 2017 Meursault Les Vieilles Vignes offers a solid bouquet of stone fruits and buttered citrus as well as green almonds and white flowers. Nicely textured, medium-bodied, and elegant on the palate, with a subtle sense of minerality on the finish, it's an outstanding, classy Meursault to enjoy over the coming 7-8 years or so. R36-2 -

This deep and potentially ageworthy blend from both valley and hillside sites is a baritone, showing deep bass notes of black currant, toasted oak and espresso on a great structure of fine-grained tannins and a full body. Best 2026–2036.

Vineyard 29 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 Aida Vineyard

On the valley floor, with an almost Châteauneuf du Pape layer of small stones, is the Aida Estate, one of my favorite vineyards just north of St. Helena. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Aida Estate is a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc aged 20 months in three-fourths new French oak. The good news is that there are 800 cases of this magnificent wine, with a somewhat Graves-like scorched-earth, charcoal, burning ember-scented nose, with notes of hot earth, blackberry and cassis fruit. Big, full-bodied, exuberant and rich, this thick, unctuously textured, purple wine should drink beautifully for 25-30 or more years.
