  • Charlie Clay 2021 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

    $49.99

    Sonoma County California
On the nose, aromas of black cherry flesh, river stone, crushed violent candy and tangerine rind comingle with delicate sweet-soil tones. On the palate, sweet red fruits, black truffle and a strong mineral vein get support from a core of polished tannins and freshness. This precise structure provides an element of tension and purpose. While just starting to show its layers of detail, this wine will drink beautifully over the next 5-8 years. Only 239 cases made. R17-3

  • Chasing Lions 2019 Chardonnay

    $14.99$132.00

A blend of the same variety from two locations: The Chardonnay found in Monterey has flavors of melon, citrus fruit, apples and a slight bit of tropical fruit and the juice from Lodi lends the crisp, refreshing acidity.

The 2020 Chasing Lions Cabernet Sauvignon is bright with ripe red cherries leaping out of the glass, complementing aromas of boysenberry and spicy red plum in the mouth. This juicy and inviting wine shows flavors of milk chocolate, sweet red berries and a slight oaky smokiness, all harmoniously blended in a matrix of soft and supple tannins. The delicate vanilla finish lingers long after the last sip is gone.

Chateau Barreyres shows a sumptuous deep purple color. The nose opens with appealing aromas of fresh red fruit alongside classic features associated with well-managed aging. This is a fine, elegant Cru Bourgeois with a very pleasing profile, including good structure and a full body. The finish is remarkably persistent.

  • Chateau Batailley 2010 Grand Cru Pauillac

    $169.99

    Bordeaux France
    Wine Advocate 95 Rating
Tasted blind at the Southwold Bordeaux 2010 tasting. A strong performance from Batailley under blind conditions, easily surpassing its showing at the UGC in London last year. The 2010 has a very elegant bouquet with blackberry, cedar and leather, well defined and very nicely focused, though not the most vigorous amongst its peers. The palate is very well balanced with filigree tannins, perfectly judged acidity and a very appealing “classic” style of Pauillac very the top drawer. What a superb Pauillac – a benchmark Batailley. • Chateau Bellefont Belcier 2016 St-Emilion Grand Cru

    $69.99

    Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
The 2016 Château Bellefont-Belcier was truly brilliant on all three occasions I was able to taste it, rating 95 twice and 97 once. Coming from a 13.5-hectare vineyard on the magical Côte Pavie (it’s right next door to Larcis-Ducasse) and a blend of 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 20 months in 80% new oak, it offers a black fruit-driven style as well as loads of black raspberries, black cherries, graphite, leafy herbs, and hints of incense. It's powerful, full-bodied, has building sweet tannins, and the rock star purity of fruit that's the hallmark of the vintage. It’s an awesome wine to drink over the coming 20-25 years. SP51-5

  • Chateau Beychevelle 2018 Amiral De Beychevelle

    $49.99$270.00

    Saint-Julien Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
A rock star of a second wine already offering pleasure, the 2018 Amiral De Beychevelle checks in as 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc that comes from the younger vines of the estate and slightly more sandy soils. This makes for a more up-front, fruit-driven wine that reveals a deep purple hue as well as sumptuous array of blueberries, black cherries, lead pencil shavings, tobacco, and spring flowers. It's classic Bordeaux on the nose, yet has a wonderful sweetness of fruit, ripe, polished tannins, no hard edges, and just a balanced, seamless style that's ideal for enjoying over the coming 10-15 years.
