  • Chateau Phelan Segur 2018 Saint-Estephe

The flagship 2018 Château Phélan Ségur is a beauty based on 57% Cabernet Sauvignon and 43% Merlot. This was a great vintage for the Médoc, and the 2018 reveals a dense purple hue to go with powerful notes of blackcurrants, iron, smoked tobacco, chocolate, and earth. Rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, it has beautiful tannin's, remarkable purity of fruit, and just does everything right. It has some up-front appeal today (no doubt due to the high Merlot content), yet it builds with time in the glass and shows more and more structure with air. It deserves 5-6 years of bottle age and will keep for 20-25. It's every bit as good as the 2016, if not better. SP53-12 BX-6

  • Château Picard 2017 Saint-Estèphe Cru bourgeois

    $29.99

    Bordeaux France
Since the acquisition of Château Picard, Mähler-Besse, who has renovated the Napoleon III-style cellars, has endowed the property with an efficient wine-making tool, with entry of the harvest by gravity. Its exceptional terroir with a clayey tendency, characteristic of Saint-Estèphe, presents soils loaded with calcified remains of cockles and sea urchins. This vineyard with a high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon produces finely smoked and spicy wines of very good class. SP59-2

  • Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron 2018 Pauillac

    $249.99

    Bordeaux France
    Wine Enthusiast 100 Rating
This great estate in southern Pauillac, facing the Latour vineyard, is at the top of its game. In this release, the tannins are as impressive and dense as the black fruits. Together they form a harmonious ensemble, richly structured, concentrated from the many old vines in the blend, and very ageworthy. *Cellar Selection* SP56-5

  • Chateau Simard 2016 Red Blend St Emilion Grand Cru

    $44.99$210.00

    Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 90 Rating
From the team at Ausone, the 2016 Château Simard is made from 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc brought up in just 30% new French oak. It’s a medium-bodied, classic, nicely balanced Saint-Emilion that has loads of upfront charm. Offering up notes of dark fruits and tobacco, it has an easygoing, rounded texture and is geared for drinking over the coming decade or so. It’s a delicious, satisfying effort.

The 2017 Cinq Cépages is jam-packed with inky-dark fruit, crème de cassis, chocolate, cloves and licorice. Dense and full-throttle, the Cinq packs a serious punch. The Cinq is undoubtedly racy, but not as opulent as it can be. This is a fine showing for the Cinq. R4-2

Weighty and rich but nicely structured, this deeply flavorful wine is draped in pure black cherry and dried blueberry flavors on moderate to full tannins. A classic style of cabernet that pleases now and has room to grow with time.

  • Chateau St Jean 2021 Chardonnay Carneros

    $29.99$138.00

    California
    Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
A bright yellow color, the 2022 Chardonnay Carneros is expressive and refined on the nose, with notes of honeyed citrus, tangerine, golden apples, and waxy Marcona almonds. Full-bodied and very appealing on the palate, it casts a wide net, as it retains good freshness and doesn’t feel cloying or heavy. It will drink well over the next few years.

  • Chateau Talbot 2019 Saint-Julien

    $119.99

    Bordeaux France
    Wine Spectator 95 Rating
Well-built and rather refined for the vintage, with a deep well of red and black currant paste and plum reduction flavors supported by a deeply inlaid iron note, all of which run the length of the wine. Offers subtle savory, tobacco and singed cedar notes that add range, with a savory echo that leaves a mouthwatering feel in the end. Built to cellar. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2025. SP-BX12

  • Château Tournefeuille 2020 Red Blend

    $34.99$324.00

    Lalande-de-Pomerol Bordeaux France
    Decanter Magazine 92 Rating
This is a good Lalande de Pomerol, there are big tannins as you find in many wines in this region in 2020, but this has real juice and precision behind it, and is an excellent wine. Expect bitter chocolate and espresso shots on the finish but backed up by bilberry and cassis.
