Saint Cosme 2018 Gigondas
$49.99Southern Rhone Valley France
Wine Advocate 93 Rating
Saint Cosme's 2018 Gigondas is a blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 14% Syrah and 1% Cinsault, aged in a combination of new and used oak, with 30% of the volume matured in concrete. Full-bodied and generous, it's round and supple, with no hard edges to hamper the easy flow of asphalt, red raspberries and black cherries across the palate. Boasting ample but not excessive concentration, it's a lovely, seductive example of Gigondas to enjoy over the next decade or so. SP38-10 -
Saint-Damien 2022 Vacqueyras
$29.99 – $150.00Southern Rhone Valley France
Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
The first Vacqueyras I’ve tasted from this brilliant Gigondas estate, the 2022 Vacqueyras has pure red and black fruits as well as textbook spicy herbs, pepper, and savory flower aromas and flavors. It’s concentrated, medium to full-bodied, has plenty of mid-palate depth, and outstanding length. I’d happily be a buyer. SP36-6

Salvard 2022 Cheverny Blanc
$19.99 – $192.00Loire Valley France
Thierry and Emmanuel Delaille of Domaine du Salvard specialize in crisp, mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc, but for this cuvée, they add a splash of Chardonnay, which brings complexity, flesh, and notes of Meyer lemon and orchard fruit. The base of Sauvignon Blanc, meanwhile, provides freshness and liveliness as well as its characteristic flavors of passion fruit and lime zest. The two grape varieties combine for outstanding versatility, such that this bottle will serve you well alongside all kinds of seasonal spring fare. A blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Chardonnay.

San Marzano ‘Edda’ Bianco is straw yellow in color with golden reflections. On the nose, ripe peach, smooth vanilla and floral notes perfectly balance the fresh lime, mint and herbal complexity. The palate is generous and full of elegance, freshness and minerality. This wine is beautifully rounded with an exceptional well-balanced palate. regular $29.99

From two iconic vineyards, La Rinconada and Sanford & Benedict, this red aged II months in French oak speaks of fresh earth, bright cherry, and a pinch of white pepper. A cascade of red flowers, rooibos tea, and hot cinnamon candy adds to its graceful charm.

Saxum 2016 James Berry Vineyard
$199.99Willow Creek District Paso Robles California
Jeb Dunnuck 100 Rating
I tasted the 2016 James Berry Vineyard out of barrel and it’s a smokin’ blend of 55% Grenache, 24% Mourvèdre, 13% Syrah and 8% Counoise that saw 24% whole clusters and aging mostly in barrel. Black raspberry and cassis intermixed with notions of mint, violets/spring flowers and pepper give way to a sensationally layered, full-bodied, gorgeous red that has excellent freshness and a great, great finish. While this cuvée has leaned towards to the more elegant side of the spectrum over the past 6-7 years, this is a return to the richer, more blockbuster style versions, and I think it’s better for it.
