  • LUIANO 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva

    $29.99$155.94

    Tuscany Italy
    Wine Spectator 95 Rating
A fresh, detailed style, exhibiting cherry, black currant, licorice, leather and iron aromas and flavors. This firms up as the latent structure emerges on the finish, yet the lasting impression is of equilibrium and sweet, ripe fruit. Best from 2020 through 2038. 2,500 cases made. OPI R10-5

  • Luigi Baudana 2023 Dragon Langhe Bianco

    $21.99$204.00

    Piedmont Italy
Dragon was born out of two dreams: to respect and carry on the legacy of Luigi Baudana’s vineyards and to offer a white wine that could be both easy and fun, and yet with a true complexity underneath. This Chardonnay vineyard (with a touch of Sauvignon) is located mid-slope on the north-east shoulder of the famed Cerretta Piani terroir of Barolo. A quirk of nature makes this plot cooler and suitable for white wine grapes. The vines, now mature, are producing exciting results with wines showing aromatics of washed stone, wildflowers and green summer grass. Aged on its lees in stainless steel vats, it retains crisp acidity while showing unctuous, almost buttery texture. Long and fine, this is a very unique wine.

  • Luigi Einaudi 2013 “Terlo Vigna Costa Grimaldi” Barolo

    $69.99

    Piedmont Italy
    Decanter Magazine 95 Rating
Though Terlo is predominantly east facing, Einaudi's Costa Grimaldi vineyard curves southward, creating a southeastern exposure. The wine is aged in a combination of medium-toast French barriques, 10% new, and five hectolitre French and Austrian casks. Smoky and grilled at first, it then opens up to reveal enticing black pepper, graphite and fragrant black tea nuances. It is concentrated and layered without being heavy, and the fruit is supported by firm, confident tannins. SP45-1

Bright copper. Aromas of freshly peeled tangerine, cantaloupe and yellow stone fruit. The palate is bright yet textured, with an intriguing, savory profile. Flavors follow of orange marmalade, mango, dried papaya, candied orange peel with a hint of minerally earth. Multilayered and fleshy through the remarkably refreshing finish.

This is a ripe, honeyed style of Sherry with deep brown sugar and cinnamon aromas. Its solid palate is under control and not syrupy, tapering into brown sugar and fig flavors. Chocolate and fig notes linger on the long finish.

  • Lustau “San Emilio Solera Reserva” Pedro Ximénez

    $34.99$336.00

    Jerez Spain
    Wine Enthusiast 93 Rating
With piercing aromas of raisin pudding, molasses and spice, this rolls out the welcome mat and more. Luscious is probably as tame as you can put it; this is a ribald sweet wine with acidic backbone and hugely intense flavors of baked brown sugar, cinnamon cake and molasses. Powerful but still racy due to bracing acidity. About as good as it gets with P.X.

    Jerez Spain
    Wine Spectator 90 Rating
Aged for equal periods under “flor” and in contact with the oxygen, in Bodega Emperatriz Eugenia in Jerez de la Frontera. This dry Amontillado acquires a genuine, rich and nutty flavor through years of aging. Amber in color, with hazelnut aromas on the nose. Light, soft and round on the palate, with a long aftertaste.
