Purlieu 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Missouri Hopper Vineyard
$199.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
Loads of blackcurrants, smoked tobacco, gravelly earth, espresso, and chocolate notes emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard, a Graves-look alike that offers full-bodied richness, ripe, polished tannins, a dense, rich mid-palate, and a blockbuster of a finish. Reminding me of a great vintage from Smith Haut Lafitte, it can be drunk today or cellared for 20 years or more. R31-3 SP22-1 -
Purlieu Wines 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard
$219.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
Another brilliant wine in the lineup, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard comes from one of the Grand Cru vineyards in the Valley and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Its dense purple color is followed by classic, blockbuster To Kalon notes of blueberries, cassis, raspberries, flowery incense, unsmoked tobacco, and violets. This powerhouse of a Cabernet is full-bodied, has loads of ripe tannins, a layered mouthfeel, and a great finish. This vineyard performed exceptionally well in 2018, and this is a gorgeous, textbook expression of this terroir to enjoy over the coming two decades. BX-6 SP31-11 -

This is so good! I want to drink it now. Iodine, mushrooms, dark fruit and orange peel on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, yet polished and fresh. Lovely tension. A blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec. SP59-2 -
Queiron Mi Lugar 2018 Vino del Quel Seleccion
$49.99 – $228.00Rioja Spain
Mi Lugar was created as a shining tribute to the tradition which the Pérez Cuevas family has been working to restore. The wine of Quel: genuine, proud and noble comes from a selection of small plots where only the best grapes are harvested and delivered to the winery of Queirón, which represents the ninth cave in a neighborhood full of Dionysus worshippers. A structure that stands as an homage to the traditional and hardworking townsfolk of Quel, immortalized through the words of the poet Don Manuel in his poem “Mi Lugar”, or “My Place”. R39-4

Quest by Austin Hope 2022 Red Blend
$19.99 – $239.88Paso Robles California
This blend displays a beautiful herbaceous nose of anise seed, warm chocolate, and fresh mint. On the palette flavors of black fruit, dark chocolate, and slightly earthy nuance of leather are present. On the finish, soft fine tannins leave a light coat on the palette and mingle with a delicate touch of acidity that balance the wine allowing the flavors to linger.

Quilceda Creek 2010 Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
$199.99Columbia Valley Washington State
Wine Advocate 97 Rating
Even more concentrated, structured and dense than the Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard (99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot all from the Red Mountain AVA) delivers an incredible array of black currant, dark chocolate, cedar, tobacco and assorted spring flower-like nuances that give way to a massively concentrated, tannic and structured 2010 that has brilliant mid-palate depth, integrated acidity and a pure, detailed and energetic texture that carries through the finish. As with the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, this is more fun to taste than to drink presently and needs 5-6 years or more of bottle age to round into form. It too will have two to three decades or more of ultimate longevity. Drink 2018-2035. R6-1 SP25-1 -
Quilceda Creek 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon

More serious, and one of the wines of the vintage, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) has uncommon concentration and depth in the vintage, as well as a broad, structured profile that will allow it to age gracefully. Loaded with sweet creme de cassis, exotic spice, licorice and graphite, it’s a full-bodied, elegant and classically styled effort that has nothing out of place, fine, building tannin and a rock star finish. It will be approachable at an earlier stage than most vintages, yet still have two decades of longevity. R38-2 SP25-2
