The nose is warm and savory, with faintly melancholic aromas of tar, anise, dried cherries and figs that glide along a blade of stone and crisp leather. On the palate, tangy black cherries and plums give way to undertones of earth and more rocks that swell into a peppery finish, against chalky, chewy tannins.
