Chateau Haut Vigneau 2021 Bordeaux Blanc

$24.99$126.00

Pessac Leognan Bordeaux France
Enjoyabilityfactor 93 Rating
Brilliant pale yellow, the 2021 Haut-Vigneau opens with a fresh, breezy bouquet of citrus, gooseberry, and a hint of crème brûlée. On the palate, Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon notes race along, glistening with an edge of brisk lemon pith as the wine races toward a mouthwatering finish of white flower, tarragon, oyster shell, and graceful minerality. A gift to lovers of the rare white classified growths of Pessac-Léognan, this remarkable value offers quality at or near the classified growth level at a cru bourgeois price.

Description

Situated in the commune of Martillac, this 20-hectares property once belonged to Baron de Montesquieu. Today, the estate is owned by Mr. Eric Perrin who set up a vast land clearing and plantation program in the 1980s, rejuvenating this vineyard from the ground up. The Perrin family also owns the famous Château Carbonnieux. Because of its special localisation, its terroir and the choices of winemaking in the vineyard and the cellar, the Château haut-Vigneau plays between the greatest ones.
