Marciano Estate 2017 Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley California Enjoyabilityfactor 94 Rating
From a single acre of estate-grown Sauvignon Blanc, our fruit is harvested in successive small picks to accentuate the nuances of the vineyard and add dimension to the resulting wine. The Marciano Estate Blanc is aged in a combination of small concrete and French oak barrels to yield a layered wine, elegantly balanced for longevity. The vibrant 2017 vintage has captivating notes of nectarine, lychee, and minerals, complemented by hints of honeysuckle and citrus zest. Only 115 cases made.

Ridge 2017 Estate Chardonnay Monte Bello Vineyard Santa Cruz Mountains Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
The 2017 Chardonnay Estate has a Burgundian reductive quality as well as first-rate notes of caramelized orchard fruits, crushed rock, and subtle toasty, nutty notes. Rich, medium to full-bodied, with bright acidity, it has beautiful mid-palate depth, and well as the class and structure to keep for 15+ years. This is beautifully done.

Kosta Browne 2015 Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands Monterey California James Suckling 93 Rating
Very floral and beautiful with plum and citrus with hints of smoke. Medium to full body, creamy texture and beautiful length. Firm and silky. Dry and beautiful. Drink or hold.

Domaine Paul Autard 2017 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Southern Rhone Valley France Wine Spectator 94 Rating
Dark and winey, featuring lots of currant, fig and blackberry compote notes stuffed together, with hints of ganache, tobacco and roasted alder filling in around them. A warm earth accent runs through the finish, which exhibits grip and drive. Rock-solid. Best from 2022 through 2037. 750 cases made, 200 cases imported.

Torrin 2012 Tsundere Paso Robles Wine Advocate 95 Rating
The 2012 Tsundere is all estate fruit and is made from 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Tannat, 13% Grenache and the rest Syrah. Full-bodied, concentrated and yet polished and seamless (which is surprising given the large percentage of Tannat), it reveals loads of complexity in its rose petal, spice, spring flowers, chocolate and exotic red and black fruits. It’s drinking nicely as well, but I can’t imagine it not evolve nicely for at least another decade.

Janzen 2016 Cloudy’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley California Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
From a site not far from the Hourglass Vineyard, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Janzen Cloudy’s Vineyard is upfront and charming, with full-bodied notes of macerated black cherries, cedarwood, chocolate, and licorice. It’s a mouthfilling, sexy, opulent wine that grows with time in the glass, has solid mid-palate depth, building tannins, and a great finish. Drink it any time over the coming 15-20 years.
