This elegant Spanish red wine wine is produced by the Castillo de Perelada winery. It is made exclusively from the Finca Malaveïna vineyards, a scenic estate with red clayey soils that offers incomparable views of the eastern Pyrenees and the Mediterranean sea. The composition of this single estate wine is 40% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc, 9% Grenache and 8% Syrah. Harvested by hand and meticulously selected, the grapes were cold-macerated before fermentation, then this red wine from L'Empordà was drawn off and aged for 22 months in new French oak barrels from Allier. Finally, it was aged for some months in the cellar before its release. This wine will improve in the bottle for about 8-10 years. Please decant one hour before you drink it.
